tag7 – a group of young musicians coming from Austria, Germany and Switzerland. They aim for getting their listeners to meditation and reflection about their relationship to God. Their music is an expression of the faith that all members of tag7 share. Each song is telling a story of the personal faith experiences that they have had so far.
tag7 – literally translated „day7“ – is following the principle of the biblical Sabbath, the seventh day which God created as a day of rest for mankind. It is also a sign of the eternal covenant that He wants to tie with everyone of us. tag7 longs to avow itself to this covenant.
tag7 – aims for
- expressing biblical truths through music
- enriching the Christian music scene
- offering modern, yet devotional music which should connect people, not separate them
- provoking listeners to reflect on their faith
tag7’s formation history
The project tag7 started in spring 2010. The founding band members were meeting more or less regularly for rehearsal and recording sessions which finally – after having had some smaller engagements – led to the release of their first CD „Dennoch“ (which basically means „nevertheless“) in autumn 2011.
While they are playing concerts in churches and public locations throughout Austria, Germany and Switzerland at the moment, they are already working on the second recording „Heimweh“ (meaning „longing for heaven“). This record, mostly consisting of compositions of band members, is expected to be released in spring 2013.
